“It’s Kind Of A Funny Story” is a very good novel written by Ned Vizzini. It is the story of Craig, a 15-year-old New Yorker accepted into Executive Pre-Professional High School, a very tough advanced school. Though Craig is very intelligent, the schoolwork, along with various other problems in his life, cause him to become suicidal. One night, he decides to  jump off the Brooklyn Bridge, but instead calls the suicide hotline. He ends up checking himself into a psychiatric hospital, but the ward for teens is down for renovation, so he ends up in Six North, the adult psychiatric ward. What awaits him in Six North? Well, if you’ve read the book, you already know, and if you haven’t, I’m not gonna spoil it for you!

In November 2010, Focus Features is releasng a film version of the story! It will be written by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, and the latter will also direct. It will star Keir Gilchrist, Zach Galifianakis, and Emma Roberts. Until it is released, this blog will be the unofficial place to get all the latest news!
