IKOAFS play wins award
March 29, 2010Just a quote from Zach
March 10, 2010Not much in the way in the news, but here’s a quote from Zach Galifianakis about the movie.
“Well, I’m in a movie [called] It’s Kind of a Funny Story. It’s kind of a serious movie. I have hopes for that. It better win some fucking awards.”

First Pictures From The Set! Except They’re Old
February 25, 2010Oops. It turns out the first unofficial pictures on set of the movie were posted almost 3 months ago, but I never saw them because the sites I usually go to for news on the movie never mentioned them. So, If I hadn’t randomly looked up “It’s Kind Of A Funny Story” on Google Images tonight, I might never have seen them! My bad. Anyway, here are 5 pictures of Keir Gilchrist and his bike on the Brooklyn Bridge.
Best Big-Lipped Aligator Moment Ever!
February 5, 2010First off, I finally got around to adding a few links to the blog.
Secondly, Ned has posted again on his movie blog, and you can read it here. What do we learn from it? Shooting has wrapped up, and there is going to be a crazy, kick-ass fantasy sequence where the cast dances to David Bowie’s “Under Pressure”. November CANNOT get here fast enough.
Emma Roberts Goes Blonde
February 2, 2010Emma Roberts (who will play Noelle in IKOAFS) recently showed off her new, blonde hairstyle at the premiere of her new movie, Twelve (which also features Zoe Kravitz, who will play Nia in IKOAFS). Her change in hairstyle was inspired by her role in IKOAFS. The article doesn’t make it clear if she will be blonde in IKOAFS or not (and production started almost 2 months ago), but it’s worth noting Noelle was blonde in the novel.

Another Post on Film In Focus
January 16, 2010Ned Vizzini has added a new post on his FilmInFocus blog about working on the film. You can read it here.
By the way, I know having a blog where I talk about updates to another person’s blog seems kind of useless, so I am currently looking for a good place on here to link to Ned’s blogs, along with a few other related sites. I’m new at site organization, so we’ll see how that works out.
Ned’s New Post, And Original Auditions!
January 8, 2010Ned has just added another post to his blog on filminfocus.com. It’s mainly about the history of the Brooklyn Bridge, his thoughts on the film shoots, and some other similar things. It’s definately worth a read, and you can so so here.
Also, I found something interesting while looking up IKOAFS on Youtube: real audtions for the movie! They aren’t audiotions by Keir Gilchrist or Emma Roberts, but they are still very interesting to see, and whet my appetite for actual footage from the movie even more! Here they are:
An audition for Craig by Alex Rzechowicz
Another audion by Alex Rzechowicz
An audition by Jacob Dylan Hughes
Jordan Thompson audtions for the role of Craig
Chase Austin audition, Part II
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

December 22, 2009While looking around Focus Feature’s website, I found out Ned Vizzini has recently started his own blog about the movie. While he hasn’t posted anything there yet, it promises to contain “reports from the set and more.” So, I will definately be checking back there regularly. Here’s the link.
And here’s his account on FilmInFocus.com. Thanks for plugging my blog again, Ned!
